Step-by-step walkthrough

Start the episode
Start in the main shopping mall area. Collect a Step (1 of 5) from the floor by the bench. Collect another Step (2 of 5) from on top of the vending machine on the right. inspect the Vending Machine. Collect the screwdriver from the plant on the right. select the power cord to unplug the machine. Use the screwdriver on the front of the machine to open a panel. Collect a Chip from the opened panel. select the elevator under the PARKING sign to inspect the Button. select the button to open the panel and install the Chip. This will start an elevator chip puzzle. Solve the elevator chip puzzle; there are 4 large slots on the board on the left and 8 small chips on the right. You need to fit the 8 chips (2 in each slot). The lines on the chips need to match up to the lines on the sides of the slots.

Continue the item chain — phase 2
You can select chips to rotate them and drag them into the positions. Once solved, the button is now working and you can call the Elevator to go down to the Parking Garage. In the parking garage, collect another Step (3 of 5) from the top of the red cabinet on the left. Collect the Yellow bowling Ball from the ground on the right. select the car to open the hood and look inside. Use the screwdriver to disconnect and collect the Battery. Look on the left side of the garage on the floor to find a green box. Collect the blue Magnetic Key from the green box. Back up to the main shopping area and select the 'Fashion' shop on the left. You will see the door lock control. First try the magnetic key on it to find that it doesn't work. Use the screwdriver on it to open the bottom panel and find some wires. Add the battery to the wires and connect them. select the battery to start a battery puzzle. Solve the battery puzzle; there are various sliders that you can move left and right on each row to connect the terminals.

Continue the item chain — phase 3
When the connections are correct the lights will come on. You need to get all the lights on on the grid to complete the puzzle. Once completed the panel will have red lights. Use the Magnetic key again and the shop will open. Before going into the shop, make a note of the colors of the clothing in the shop display window. Return to the Parking Garage and inspect the green box on the floor again. There is a code lock with 6 buttons. select the buttons to change the colors; the clue is the colors of the clothes in the fashion shop display. Collect from the Box an Adjustable Wrench and a Sponge. Go back up and enter the Fashion Shop. In the fashion shop, collect the Ladder on the left. Collect another Step (4 of 5) and a green Ball from the floor. inspect the counter on the right. Collect the Ruler from the side of the till. inspect the vent cover that is on the wall on the far right side of the shop under some hanging clothes.

Continue the item chain — phase 4
Use the screwdriver to open the cover and collect a blue Detail (1 of 3). Back out of the shop and inspect the Vending machine again. select at the bottom to look closer and use the ruler underneath the machine to collect a round Detail. Head back into the shop and select the door in the center of the back wall under a small red sign. Look inside this cupboard to find a red Fire emergency cabinet. Add the round detail to the slot on the right and you will start a fire cabinet puzzle. Solve the fire cabinet puzzle; there are 4 sliding blocks on the lower right and 4 matching symbols on the left of the board. Use the center circle to move the blocks over to the left to line them up and match the symbols. You need to make sure that the blocks end up the right way up as well as in the right order. This opens the cabinet. Collect the blue Detail (2 of 3) and the Stick (handle) from the cabinet. Use the wrench on the red valve wheel on the left to collect the Valve. Head back down to the Parking Garage and inspect a pipe on the square pillar on the right hand side. Add the Valve Wheel to it and turn it, this will turn off a water supply. Go back up to the main area and look in the water fountain on the left, it is now empty.

Continue the item chain — phase 5
Collect the red Ball from the side of the fountain. Collect the Step (5 of 5) from inside the fountain. select the Escalator, there are steps missing. Add the 5 steps you have and you can go up to the upper floor. On the upper floor, collect the Blue Ball from the floor. inspect the broken game machine on the right wall. Collect the Knife from the side of the machine. Collect a Rag from the bucket on the left. inspect the Stick in your inventory and add the Rag to it to collect a Torch. inspect the counter of the cafeteria at the back. Collect the Key and the Empty Kettle from the cafeteria counter. Go down to the main area and inspect the Vending machine again. Use the knife on the cable to cut and collect the Wire. Go down to the Parking Garage and use the Key on the red cabinet on the left to open it.

Continue the item chain — phase 6
Collect the Pincers and a Handle from the red cabinet. Go back up to the upper floor and inspect the Cafeteria counter. Use the Pincers to collect a blue Detail (3 of 3) from the fryer. Use the Torch on the Fryer to dip it in the oil, you collect the Torch again. you have 3 details, head back to the shop. inspect a drawer under the till on the counter. Add the 3 details to it and you will start a slider puzzle. Solve the slider puzzle; the game board is filled with colored sliders. There is a ball at the top and a hole towards the lower left. You need to arrange the sliders so that the ball will roll down and enter the hole. Collect the Pink Ball and the Hammer Part from the open drawer. inspect the Hammer Part in your inventory and add the Handle. You need to use the knife to cut the handle and then it will assemble the Hammer. You should now have 5 Balls (Yellow, green, red, Blue, Pink). Go back up to the upper floor and inspect the Bowling alley machine.

Continue the item chain — phase 7
Add one of the balls to the machine and then press the red button to start a bowling puzzle. Solve the bowling puzzle; the puzzle board is a grid of rows with balls. At the end of each row is a number. Arrange the balls on the grid so that the correct number of balls is in each row to match the numbers. There are 5 puzzles, one for each ball. Once complete you can collect the Insulating Tape. Return to the broken game machine on the right. Add the Wire to it and then use the insulating tape to fix the power cable. You can then plug it in and turn it on. Use the hammer to hit the button on the machine and when it lights up you can collect a Key. Go down to the Fashion Shop. inspect a light bulb hanging on the left. Hit this with the hammer to break the glass. Use the Torch on the exposed element to light it and get the Burning Torch. Go down to the Parking Garage.

Continue the item chain — phase 8
Place the ladder on the left. select the ladder to inspect the Fire sensor on the ceiling. Use the Torch on the sensor to activate the sprinklers. use the Kettle on the dripping water from the sprinkler. This will let you collect a Kettle with water. Return to the cafeteria and place the kettle back on the stand and select the button. you can collect the Boiling Kettle. Go back to the Shop, and look inside the changing room on the back left behind the curtain. inspect the mirror inside. Use the kettle on the mirror and it will reveal a 6 digit number. Return to the electronic till on the counter. Enter the code into the till screen and then use the key to open the cash drawer. Collect another Key and a Banknote from the cash drawer. Go back upstairs and open the top left locker on the left of the area. There is a locked box inside.

Complete the escape
Use the key on this to open it and find a triangles puzzle. Solve the triangles puzzle; this is a jumbled up picture. Each pair of adjacent triangles can be swapped by tapping the small round buttons between them. Arrange the triangles to assemble the correct image. Once it is open you can collect the bottle of Alcohol. inspect the Sponge in your inventory and add the Alcohol to it. You collect the Sponge. Return to the Parking Garage. Use the Sponge on the licence plate of the car to clean it. Get the number from the license plate. inspect the ticket machine under the Exit sign. Add the banknote to the slot of the machine then enter the car license number. This will let you collect a Parking Ticket. Place the parking ticket in the slot on the left of the machine and the gate will open. You can now escape the Shopping Mall and complete Level 20.

If the final transition does not start, reopen the most recent close-up and confirm that every required inventory item was used rather than merely collected.
